JOB OVERVIEW

• We are working to recruit a Deputy Head – Operations to join the expansion of our team in Noida (Delhi-NCR)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervising the operations team dealing with various responsibilities like time and voyage contracts, agency negotiations, bunker planning, weather routing etc

• Managing operations while adhering to charterparties with Owners and sub-Charterers and achieving maximum profitability

• Overseeing day to day commercial operations of ships

• Settlement of disputes with Owners/Charterers

• Assisting legal department with disputes including vessel related damages, cargo damages, cargo quantity/quality issues, bunker quality issues, etc

• Monitoring of daily performance of vessel. Highlighting under-performance to technical managers and ensuring that necessary steps are taken to rectify any under-performance

• Assisting legal department with disputes including vessel related damages, cargo damages, cargo quantity/quality issues, bunker quality issues, etc

• Negotiating and communicating with different counterparts in operational matters like Owners, Charterers, receivers, shippers, agents, surveyors, bunker suppliers, and traders.

• Maintenance of MIS and customization of same as per management requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Master Mariner or Chief Officer with 5 years of sailing experience as Chief Mate

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skill

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to accept new challenges

• Flexibility and ability to adapt and learn
