What do you like most about your job?
Working at present designation is very challenging and demanding, every day brings a new challenge which not only gives possibility to learn but broadens my horizon and way of thinking. Every other day ends with satisfaction of some new accomplishment. I also like that there is no red taping at Bainbridge and freedom is given in decision making which results in quick solutions and turnarounds. Working at BainBridge is very gratifying and the work culture here is very friendly and commendable.

What is your role & responsibilities at BainBridge Navigation?
My key role & responsibilities at BBNV are:

  • Day to day operations
  • Being the bridge between the operators and charterers
  • Reviewing charter parties
  • Day to day problem solving
  • Minimizing operating cost
  • Training for the team
  • Looking after legal matters
  • Dealing with all the counter parts {P&I clubs, surveys, agencies, owners, charters etc}

What did you learn while working with BainBridge Navigation?
It is difficult to put same in few words. To summaries various aspects of commercial shipping in details, challenges encountered while operating a vessel commercially and understanding of various commercial matters which I was unaware of even while sailing for so many years.

Share a fun and interesting story from work?
On one fine day, Me and couple of boys were working late at office, so we thought that it is better to have dinner at some eatery prior proceeding to home. To our surprise we could not get a table in any of the so many eateries/restaurants present in vicinity and ended up going home and cooking. Later we had many laughs on one or another personals expense for not getting a place to eat.

How do you spend your weekends?
Trying to spend as much time as possible with kids and carrying out various chores at home.
