JOB OVERVIEW

• We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Legal Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle legal matters related to shipping and corporate, including disputes, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with the P&I Club, maritime law firms, etc.
• Review and handle various Charter Party agreements.
• Draft various legal documents and recommend suggestions.
• Send, receive, and respond to legal notices after due diligence and investigation.
• Ensure proper custody of legal records.
• Any other task assigned by the management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Good experience in maritime disputes and understanding of the sector.
• Bachelors or Masters in Law with excellent academic qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Bright and ambitious with proven legal and technical skills in dispute resolution and related transactions.
• Experience with LMAA/SCMA arbitration, including drafting submissions.
• Experience of court proceedings; dealing with P&I clubs and external maritime law firms.
• Experience in carriage of goods disputes, including Charter Parties, Bills of Lading, and COAs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, and with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
